Our Success
 

In each of our lives success is measured in many different ways, but for all of us who have this problem and have entered into recovery our success is measured in the same way. Because just by us being willing to accept we have this problem and then take action against having it we have indeed come a long way and have succeeded where many others who have this same problem have failed. We may not accomplish much more in our lives than to do this, but for those of us with this problem, this will be enough, if we can do this, and for all of us it's a lot to do if we can. The odds of us being able to do this are not good, but it has been left up to each one of us to determine what those odds are going to be. Many of us thought we would have to do great things in our life in order to be considered successful and to be admired by those around us. But for all of those around us who have seen us at our worst with this problem, and know how hard it's been for us, and can now see that we're in recovery, will respect us for being willing to do something about having this problem, and will definitely consider us to be a success for having done so.
