On A Winning Streak
 

Not one of us has ever showed up at recovery on a winning streak. All of us get here out of some form of desperation in one way or another. This is true for all of us no matter how long it takes for us to get to recovery we all get here because we need it, not because we wanted it, and this is how all of us begin our recovery. It is from us needing to be here and us staying here long enough that we realize that it's senseless for any of us to try to solve this problem on our own, because that's what brought all of us here to recovery in the first place by all of us trying to do that. This is when all of us realize that we want to be here in recovery and that this is the only way that any of us to ever be able to get to us wanting to be here, and all of us can do this if we all give ourselves half a chance to have this happen for us, and it always will if we do, and then all of us will want to be here in recovery. And for all of us it's a good thing when we want to be here because then all of us will be able to stay in recovery just where we all should be.
