Default Just For Today – Part 2 — Day 14 - Put On New Man

Just For Today – Part 2 — Day 14 - Put On New Man by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put on…NEW MAN
“put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,” Colossians 3:10 (NKJV)

Today’s Action:
Believers, to put it simply, in Christ, we are “to be like God” in all we say and do, so that we bring God glory through the life we live here on earth.

So then, Just for Today let’s put on the New Man, who is renewed in knowledge, the one who was created in God’s image, the one whom we were supposed to be before the fall.

How do we put on this New Man?
Well, God’s word says: You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, Ephesians 4:22,23

First we must be “in Christ” (Ephesians 2:13)
and then our minds can be made new by the influence of the Holy Spirit, Who works with our spirit to perpetually renovate our minds.

Renewing our minds means thinking totally different than we may have been thinking.
It means choosing to think positively instead of negatively.
It means believing and standing on God’s promises no matter what we may be going through at the time.

The New Man has a close relationship with God and it shows.
He is spiritually minded instead of earthly minded.(Col.3:2).

So, Just for Today, let us put on the thinking of a New Man who is renewed in Christ.
For, …if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
