Default He waits to hear your heart

The Prayer Jesus Taught Us: Part 1

Today begins a devotional series that focuses on the prayer Jesus taught us. May it be a blessing to you as your heart is drawn nearer to Him through prayer in the days and months ahead.
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV
…..
Our Father…
When you come to God in prayer, you don’t come to a stranger who needs an introduction, or to an enemy who is against you. You do not come to a statue that cannot see or hear, or to some mean and impersonal deity who needs to be appeased. You come to your Father, whose heart reaches out to you in goodness and kindness, who knows every detail about your life, and who wants you to come and welcomes your company.
He wants you to come as a child who is loved…who is accepted…who is cared for…and who is secure. He wants you to come in openness…in confidence…in truthfulness.
He waits to hear your heart, and to share His heart with you.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:3 NKJV
