Default You are free to love others because of God's limitless love

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:35

Love is what identifies you and me as believers in Jesus Christ.

And the reason you and I can—or should—love others is because God loved us first. As John wrote in 1 John 4:19, “We love Him because He first loved us and gave His life….” This is where any discussion of love must begin!

God didn’t create us to live in isolation, but in a relationship with Him and to know and experience His love. So He made His amazing love known to you and me through what His Son did for us on the cross.

Isn’t it amazing that God wanted a relationship with you so much that He sent Jesus to die for you? That He reached out to you in love, not because you earned or deserved it?

That means there’s nothing you can do in life to cause God to love you more than He loves you right now. And there’s nothing you can do to make Him love you any less!

He loves you perfectly…and He loves you eternally. You are secure in His love! And it is that unconditional and all encompassing love that should drive you and me to love others today and every day.

YOU ARE FREE TO LOVE OTHERS BECAUSE OF GOD’S LIMITLESS LOVE
