SO WE CAN KNOW AND GROW

There are so many things we have learned since childhood. The older we are, hopefully, the more we have learned. We have learned bathing is not permanent. We have to bath daily to remain germ-free. We have learned eating is necessary. We need all our food groups for our health. We have to take care of our bodies so they will last us the 80+ years we will be on this earth. But what about our minds? What about our souls? There are things we need to do daily to help us in these areas as well. God’s word is for us to improve our thinking every day. God’s Holy Spirit is to help us do the right things every day. Without God, there would be no growth at all as He is the Creator of all things. When we know and apply His word, we can grow in knowledge, health and love.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 2:12 “And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down some of God’s promises.
2. List what you know about His gifts.
3. Ask God to move you with His Holy Spirit.
4. Dig deeper into His word with a stronger desire to know and grow.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we are so grateful You have given us the Holy Spirit to help us know more about You. We know You want us to stay close to You so You can teach us. We know You want us to read Your word so we can learn more about You. We know You want us to rely on the Holy Spirit to work through us and to help us make wise decisions. Thank You, Lord, for Your perfect plan and help us to grow according to Your will and not our own. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God gave us His Holy Spirit so we can know His great promises.

God’s Holy Spirit lives in us when we choose to accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

God’s Holy Spirit can help us know more about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

God’s Holy Spirit with help us gain wisdom about how to better live our lives.

When we go to God with an open heart, He will fill it with His word.

FOCUS: 1 Peter 2:2 “Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation.” (NLT)

We are to crave God’s word every day to help us grow and know His will.
